FoxESS L-Series EV Chargers

The FOX ESS L Max Series is a home and business EV charger built to do more than just fill your car. Available as a 7.3kW single-phase unit (L07P) or an 11kW three-phase unit (L11P), it is rated IP55 and IK08, so it handles Australian weather and the occasional knock without complaint, indoors or out.

Connect it by Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Ethernet and set your charging times to suit you, whether that is overnight on a cheaper tariff or the middle of the day when your roof is producing. That last part is where it earns its place: the L Max can send surplus solar straight to your car, so power you would have exported for a few cents instead goes into your battery as free driving.

Dynamic load balancing keeps the charge rate inside your home’s supply limit so nothing trips, it speaks OCPP 1.6JSON and 2.0.1 with an open MODBUS interface for easy integration, and the hardware is V2G ready to ISO 15118, meaning it is built for the day your car starts powering your house instead of the other way around.

FoxESS C-Series EV Chargers

The FOX ESS C-Series is the commercial end of the range, built for car parks, workplaces, apartment buildings and anywhere a charger has to survive the public rather than one careful owner. IP55 and IK10 rated, it shrugs off weather and serious physical knocks, and the built in screen and QR code payment mean drivers can walk up, scan and charge without an account, an app or a staff member getting involved. Connectivity covers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and 4G, so it can be installed where there is no network cable and still report back and take payments over mobile data. That makes it just as suitable for a remote site as a fitted out office basement.

Underneath the public-facing side it is the same serious hardware as the rest of the range. It is OCPP 1.6JSON and 2.0.1 compliant with an open MODBUS interface, so it slots into whatever charging network or building management platform you run rather than locking you into one vendor. Dynamic load balancing shares the available supply across the site so you can add chargers without upgrading your mains, scheduled charging lets you push usage into cheaper or solar-heavy windows, and V2G ready hardware to ISO 15118 means the unit is built for vehicle-to-grid the day your fleet supports it.

For a business, that combination turns EV charging from a cost centre into either a staff and customer drawcard or a small revenue stream.

Sungrow EV Charger

Sungrow AC22E-01 EV Charger

The Sungrow AC22E-01 is an AC EV charger that suits a home garage or a workplace car park equally well, thanks to a configurable output of either 11kW or 22kW. IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor mounting and fitted with integrated 6mA DC fault current detection, it is built to be safe in the weather and safe on your switchboard. Installation is straightforward too, wall mounted where there is a wall or on a stand column where there is not, which makes it a practical choice for car parks and driveways rather than just garages.

Where it really earns its keep is alongside solar. Paired with a Sungrow hybrid system it will prioritise your surplus solar and put it into the car instead of exporting it for a few cents, so your driving comes off your roof rather than your bill. Load management and balancing keep the charge rate inside your supply limit so you are not tripping breakers or paying for a mains upgrade, and everything is controlled and monitored from the app so you can see exactly what went into the car and when. It speaks OCPP 1.6J for network and platform integration, supports multiple authentication methods for shared or public use, and can be optioned with an integrated MID meter for accurate electricity measurement, which matters if you are billing staff, tenants or customers for what they use.
